Dual Monitors for Photonic3D

#1

Hi,
some time ago i build a uv 3d printer and now i want to upgrade the printer with a touch display.
I found a lot of information about Photonic3D and Printflow interface, so i started to install it.

Now my problem is this:
to have the printer’s LCD monitor recognized in config.txt I had to insert the following lines:

hdmi_pixel_freq_limit=400000000
hdmi_timings=1440 0 70 35 45 2560 0 12 2 2 0 0 0 50 0 204792000 0
disable_overscan=1
max_framebuffer_width=2560
max_framebuffer_height=2560
lcd_rotate=2
framebuffer_width=2560
framebuffer_height=1440
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
framebuffer_depth=24
gpu_mem=192
framebuffer_ignore_alpha=1
hdmi_cvt=1440 2560 48
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hvs_priority=0x32ff
config_hdmi_boost=4

So the printer’s LCD monitor now is recognized but in the 7"Touch display the image is very small.

How can I configure it correctly?

Thank you very much!!!

Francesco

I SOLVED the problem.
Now everything is OK.

Hey indian22

I really would appreciate your help to tell me how did you solved this problem I’m stuck there.

#4

Hi, I am having the same issue. Can you please explain how you solve it? It seems that the screen has been downsized to to the same px/mm.

#5

Hi,
sorry but i was out for work.
Finally i put this code:

hdmi_pixel_freq_limit=400000000
hdmi_timings=1440 0 70 35 45 2560 0 12 2 2 0 0 0 50 0 204792000 0
disable_overscan=1
max_framebuffer_width=800
max_framebuffer_height=800
lcd_rotate=2
framebuffer_width=800
framebuffer_height=480
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
framebuffer_depth=24
gpu_mem=192
framebuffer_ignore_alpha=1
hdmi_cvt=1440 2560 48
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
hvs_priority=0x32ff
config_hdmi_boost=4
dtparam=audio=on

#6

thanks for sharing the code, but are you sure it works for you ?
for me it did not work,
touch screen still small and in vertical way, and when I send image to test the display it freez and stop working at all.

#7

is the image layer rotated correctly with you?

#8

Yes, for me now is ok.
If you need to rotate monitor+touch, you have to change:
lcd_rotate=2

In my configuration =2 is ok you can try with =0 if you want to rotate it by 180° or =1 if you want to rotate it by 90°

#9

the touch screen is ok. but the lcd is not it shows me rotated layer.

#10

is it same as your configuration Capture1

#11

Thank you Indian22! Helped a lot, understood my mistake.
Yazan_Alomari1 your Y density should be the same as X density.

#12

Kalvisg do you have right rotation for both screen ?

#13

yes. I used the same settings as Indian

#14

Yazan, do you solved the problem? your configuration seems to be ok!!!

#15

thanks for the question

no not yet

#16

which application do you use for slicing and exporting the zip file ?

#17

Yazan, you have to invert the X Y Build platform in Photonic3D!

For the software, i’m using CW.

#18

I have tried the all ways still have to rotate the lcd, I will try today and inform you what will happen , thanks indian

#19

hello,

now everything is okay rotation and printing is okay just one problem I have,

while it’s printing normally after a while like 15 min, everything stopping suddenly and lost the connection to the localhost.

I want to ask about the firmware for the miga which one do you use and if it’s possible to send me.

and any other suggestion for this problem.

actually this problem happend just in the developed version of the photonic, does not happen in the stable version but the stable version have some problem with the wireless connection that can not see the available networks,

#20

The wireless problem is a known issue that is fixed in the development version. I’d like to know more about how to reproduce the 15 minute lost connection problem. Worst case scenario, I may have to ask you to take a flight recording: https://docs.oracle.com/javacomponents/jmc-5-4/jfr-runtime-guide/run.htm#JFRUH176

That’s unlikely to be necessary if this is quite repeatable.
