Controlling the backlight of lcd based 3d printer

is possible to control the backlight of lcd based 3d printer.
i mean turn on and turn off the backlight based on slice printing.
to allow printer to cool.

It will depend on what hardware you are using to control the mechanics of the printer. If you’re using something like RAMPS with Marlin, you will need to identify a low power control input to your LED array’s driver and connect that to one of the GPIO pins. Then you’ll be able to use the M42 command to turn it on and off.

how to configure photonic3d to use M42 command or similar commands.

On the gcode templates setup screen click ‘help’. Then click ‘gCode reference’.
